The client who commissioned this living space has a hobby collecting objects which have been significant in the course of his life. Numerous journeys and experiences abroad enrich the personalities and the culture of all the people who live in this house.
The client’s main requirement was to have an orderly, essential space which could contain all the objects in his art collection.
I was given free rein to interpret décor and interior spatial design. The essentiality of the space plan blends with the use of very light decoration which is the standard throughout. It characterises the ribbed and panelled walls which appear to ‘vibrate with rhythm’ under the light.
