This built form is situated in a hilly, woodland area of inland Galicia.
The two features which characterize the area are the beautiful panoramic view that can be enjoyed due to the position of the land, and rigorous weather conditions. These two characteristics essentially conditioned the way the built structure was formally defined.
The idea was a huge block as external protection, almost like a strong, grey stoney mass with cracks or chinks opening out onto the best views of the valley.
The rear of the house backs onto the uphill side whilst the front opens out with a tunnel and a pool on the downhill side. The inside is white and basic and contrasts with the rustic harshness of the outside.
