This is the home of a traditional coruñesa family of well-known professionals.
Their way of perceiving the deep significance of space and the importance of it being ‘empty’ and ‘full’ allowed me to freely express myself and maintain a constant understanding and relationship with the clients.
The basic concept is expressed with the creation of an inner ‘membrane’, like theatre wings carved out as niches or recesses in corten steel going right round the perimeter of the space.
These small recesses act as frames to contain precious collections of objets d’art of great intrinsic and material value.
One of the basic conditions here was to maintain absolute respect for the original functional and decorative design.
